About Me/Contact

elizabeth

I’m a 58, married 14 years to a high school math teacher,
eliz and bob
and live in middle Virginia. I have a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains from my windows.
I have 3 grown step-kids, all living in other states, which is a great excuse for yarn expeditions! I also have two doggy-daughters, Whipper, and Peanut. Whipper’s a miniature black/tan smooth hair dachshund. Peanut is a Wheaten Wirehair/Red smooth hair mix.
Here’s Whipper-

Here’s Peanut, who’s also a character – Peanut

Peanut
(added 9/30/06 – We lost Peanut to heart disease today. Rest in Peace, sweet girl.)

(added 7/07)
We also have a red smooth dachshund – Yard Dog

When we adopted him, his name was Edward, but I don’t like giving human names to animals. So we’re calling him Redward, and we’ll shorten that to Red, in a few months, when he gets used to it.

Other stuff…...
-I prefer cool colors – purple, blue, teal.
-I’ve been knitting forever. My Grandmother taught me how, so young that I don’t remember learning.
-I also crochet, cross stitch, quilt, needlepoint, and I even learned to macrame’ in the 70’s!
-I love coffee and chocolate – not necessarily in that order.
-There’s no such thing as too much yarn (or tote bags).
-I’m allergic to dust, pollen, and mohair.
-The only music I don’t like is rap music
-I love the scent of Sandlewood.
-I played trombone in my high school band.
-I’ve walked the Appalachian Trail BOTH north to south and south to north. Don’t know why, but south to north was harder.
