Green Legwarmers

I’m using size 3 needles and some leftover Sportweight Woolease that I had in my stash. I’m doing a K2P2 rib with a mock cable stitch on alternate K2’s. Made up the pattern myself. It probably exists somewhere, but not in any of the patterns I have currently. This has been my “almost mindless, knit in the car” project. But lately, the church meeting room where the Culpeper Clickers group meets every Thursday, has been ver-r-r-r-r-r-y cold. I really want to get these done, so I can wear them. Worked on them all day, today, while watching movies on TV.

The mock cable st is:
Row 1-3: – K2, P2,
Row 4: * K2tog, leave both sts on left needle, knit the first st again, slide both sts off the left needle, P2, K2, P2, *
Row 5-7: K2, P2,
Row 8: * K2, P2, K2tog, leave both sts on left needle, knit the first st again, slide both sts off the left needle, P2, *

I have 68 sts in the ankle section. I knit several inches of K2, P2 rib straight, then I did a 2 st increase on rows 4 and 8, and ended up with 110 sts, then did several inches of straight K2, P2 rib at the knee.
