Scallops and Lace Socks – NOT!!
The yarn is Regia 4fadig Color, farbe 5147, which is black with dashes of turquoise, purple and gold. This yarn is 75% wool and 25% polyamide. I got this in a yarn swap I participated in last spring. This is the first pair of mostly black socks I’ve made, and I’ve found I only work on them first thing in the morning, on bright sunny days. The foot of the socks is done in stockingette, and I like the way the colors are zig-zagging and swooping against the black yarn. I haven’t done enough of the scallop and lace stitch to be able to see what that will do to the colors. I hope I’ll like that too. I’ll add another picture when I get the first cuff done. These socks are for me.

The scallops and lace wasn’t visible, so these have ended up plain stockingette. See the 1/31/2005 post for more pictures.
