Hairy Sausage Bag
I think that’s what I’m going to have to call this one!
I used the “Banana Hobo Bag” pattern from the “Pursenalities” book. I used just over 3 skeins of Patons Classic Merino Wool, and the eyelash yarn was Liberty and Perla. I actually followed the pattern for this bag. For whatever reason, the height of the bag felted – A LOT! The width of the bag didn’t felt nearly as much! So I ended up with a “sausage” bag. I’ll probably put a lining in this, when I find some fabric I like. Then I’m not sure what I’ll use it for. Live and learn!
I got the eyelash yarn from my friend Sue Groundwater, who owns Frog Eye Fiber Emporium. Sue doesn’t have a website, but she’s located in Winchester, VA. She runs Frog Eye out of her home, and basically, if she’s home – she’s open.
