Finished!

double woven
The original name for this washcloth is Double Woven, so that’s what I’m calling it. According to my copy, I found it at Knitting Nonsense, and Rhonda is calling it “The Infamous Darrell Waltrip Cloth”. However, when I went to knitting nonsense, I couldn’t find it. So I googled “Darrell Waltrip Cloth”, and then a link to it came up. I used Peaches & Creme yarn, #205, Gumdrop. The pattern says to do 12 repeats of rows 6-9, but I did 14. My cloth came out square, which is what I was going for.

The Harmony sweater has been dumped back in it’s tote bag, and thrown back in the closet. Once again, I have run out of yarn. That’s twice this kit has not had enough yarn in it to knit this stupid sweater. Since Nancy at Handknitting.com wasn’t willing to help the first time I ran out of yarn, I’m not going to bother asking her this time. (waste of breath) I’ve emailed the Louet Co., North America, twice this week, and I still haven’t heard anything from them. So I phoned them, left my name and number as requested, and still haven’t gotten a call back. This is the first time I’ve ever bought a sweater kit – and it’s the last. From now on, I’m going to stick with my tried and true – buy the pattern, then the yarn. Oh, and I’ll NEVER buy anything from handknitting.com again either.

There’s another ice storm predicted for tomorrow. I’m probably going to get trapped at home, again. Note to self – Never buy another house with the driveway on the NORTH side.

LOL…..we have a “north side” driveway as well, so I feel your pain! (Actually NNW…..but might as well be straight North). Hmmmm…...I’ll have to try that cloth…..it looks nice and thick!
